Review: Bakwards Disko at Savannah

If you love the idea of underground music, combined with beach club glam, get yourself down to Savannah at San An's sunset strip every Sunday for the White Isle’s newest night Bakwards Disko.

Hosting Savannah's back room Bakwards Disko brings Ibiza a deep underground event for both workers and tourists. Their debut night opened its doors in July beginning the fun from 12pm and attracted a strong crowd within an hour or two.

Having a deep house night at such a swanky venue makes a nice change to the typical places the underground scene chooses to party at. You can even grab yourself a ‘Sex on the beach' as well as other cocktails for as little as 5 Euros, so on top of adding something different to your week it's also a reasonably priced event.

Featuring sets from residents Jevs, Portsmouth based trio Sam Archer, Jamie Osborne and Josh Dunleavy, London based Connor Benson, Will Boyd and special guests this event is set to be very successful as an alternative to Ibiza's super clubs.

Savannah's back room is the perfect place for this event; hosting a circular bar, raised area, VIP section and decent sized dance floor. With black décor and a low ceiling decorated with a leafy almost camouflage like mesh a real underground vibe was created. Although compared to other venues the room is fairly small it allows unique events like Bakwards Disko to give revellers a more intimate and exclusive night.

Trying to appeal to workers as well as tourists Bakwards Disko offers a free guestlist which includes drink deals which currently gives you half price drinks at the event. If you are not on the guestlist entry is free but drinks remain at full price.
