Sankeys to launch a new East London venue

Boxing Day and New Year's Eve raves will welcome the new Sankeys club.

Between Manchester and Ibiza, Sankeys has been boosting our vital intake of house and techno for over 20 years, and a third venue is preparing to launch before we see off 2016.

Taking the name Sankeys East, it's being promoted as “where Essex meets London” with a mission to revamp nightlife in Essex, Hertfordshire and the most Eastern parts of London. News flashes announcing its looming launch in Romford were picked up quick and fast on social media, and online tickets for its preview opening party on Boxing Day have already flown right out the door.

Boxing Day bash aside, the club's taking on New Year's Eve celebrations with record label, Kaluki, ringing in the bells with the launch of its 2017 Smoke Signals tour. The line-up is a British-heavy pack that includes Patrick Topping, Pirate Copy, Pete Zorba and Paolo Francesco. Tickets for the biggie can still be grabbed from the event page on Resident Advisor, but act fast as it's likely to be another sell-out.

On an important side note, where Sankeys goes, tunes of the underground variety follow, and in a move to attract the right crowd – one that's united in its love for quality music – Sankeys East is launching a family membership scheme in 2017. Stay tuned on the Sankeys East Facebook page as more info is expected to follow later this month.

With Sankeys graffiti already splashed across the club's walls, we're amped to see the brand make it big in England's eastern corner.
