Ibiza favourites appearing at ADE 2024

The clubbing season may be over here, now catch a flight to Amsterdam to carry on partying!

If you haven't experienced Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) yet, it's high time that you got acquainted. This year, the epic annual electronic music celebration held in the heart of Amsterdam takes place between 16 and 20 October.

The perfect remedy for those post-Ibiza blues for anyone missing the club scene here, ADE is the opportunity for you to get your serotonin levels back to White Isle highs.

Over five days, ADE hosts a dazzling array of parties featuring the world's biggest DJs, many of whom have dominated the Ibiza circuit all summer long. Taking over some incredible inner city locations, several of our most loved parties will be bringing that Ibiza magic to the Dutch capital.

Glitterbox

Glitterbox | WesterUnie | Wednesday 16 October

Kicking off your ADE week in flamboyant fashion, Hï Ibiza's Sunday staple Glitterbox continues celebrating a decade of House and Disco in the 'Dam.

Known for its high-energy, feel-good vibes, Glitterbox will transform the former industrial space of WesterUnie & Transformatorhuis into a kaleidoscope of colour, complete with the party's camp dance ensemble and classic House tracks for which it is known.

With a line-up that includes regulars Eats Everything, Jellybean Benitez, Melvo Baptiste, Mousse T., Natasha Diggs, Seamus Haji and Smokin Jo, this Ibiza-born party will unite dancefloor devotees of all ages and persuasions on the first day of the festival.

Afterlife

Afterlife | Ziggo Dome | Thursday 16 October

Tale Of Us took Afterlife to more dizzying heights in 2024, once again rounded off with a day-to-night spectacular spread across Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza.

This winter, Matteo AKA Anyma begins his residency at Las Vegas' Sphere. Before that gets underway, you can catch his breathtaking audio-visual Genesys show at Ziggo Dome on 16 October. Chris Avantgarde, Massano and Colyn are also involved.

The following night, his TOU partner MRAK is back in the same venue for We Don't Follow.

The Martinez Brothers

The Martinez Brothers | RAWFACTORY | Thursday 17 October

On day two, another of Hï Ibiza's weekly residents The Martinez Brothers team up with Audio Obscura under their Cuttin' Headz label to present an extraordinary day-to-night party.

Taking over RAWFACTORY, an industrial venue tailor-made for this sound, this party is one for all of you Tech House purists. Expect the same vibe that consumes The Theatre each week, as The Bros', Seth Troxler, French trio Apollonia, Luuk van Dijk, a back-to-back from Jesse Calosso and Jean Pierre and Traumer all curate the soundtrack for the night.

ANTS

ANTS | Hemkade48 | Thursday 17 October

Bringing the energy of Ushuaïa's Saturday champion to Amsterdam, ANTS invades ADE with its stylish all-black aesthetic. Known for its driving Tech House rhythms, ANTS is set to create an unforgettable night at Hemkade48.

With ANTS frontrunners Andrea Oliva leading the pack, Archie Hamilton, Joris Voorn, Chelina Manuhutu, Joey Daniel and hometown hero Mau P will also be on hand to drive the high-octane, groove-infused party.

Eastenderz

Eastenderz | WesterUnie | Thursday 17 October

After an incredible string of parties at Cova Santa and a one-off extENDed party at 528 Ibiza in September, East End Dubs is back at ADE with another Eastenderz showcase. This year, he takes over WesterUnie & Transformatorhuis.

The Londoner is known for his deeper, stripped-back take on House, Minimal and nuanced beats, and will be perfect for those wanting to experience something a little more intimate.

Joining EED are Alisha, Kolter (DJOKO) and Sidney Charles.

Kaluki

Kaluki | BRET | Thursday 17 October

Kaluki started its 2024 Ibiza campaign with plans to move into the island's newest nightspot Avyca. That didn't quite go as intended, but regardless, Kaluki still had a memorable summer. Linking up with ABODE on Sundays at Eden, the tandem became San Antonio's Tech House stronghold which united Mancunians and southerners alike on the dancefloor.

In Amsterdam, Kaluki has the distinction of looking after the notorious after-hours venue BRET.

Luke Dean and Max Dean, Manda Moor, Reelow, Richy Ahmed, Sosa and Wheats join Pirate Copy for this one.

Defected

Defected | WesterUnie | Friday 18 October

Defected's first summer at Ushuaïa was one for the history books, as the world's biggest House music entity marked 25 years of existence in spectacular fashion. Not only did CEO Wez Saunders and co. bring festival vibes to Playa d'en Bossa for 22 consecutive weeks, but they're currently riding the high from a sell-out takeover of London's vast Drumsheds.

Just like sister-party Glitterbox, Defected lands at WesterUnie with a line-up worthy of carrying the landmark year to the same high standard.

You won't only find veteran artists such as Dennis Ferrer, DJ Holographic and live act Henrik Schwarz, but burgeoning superstars Olive F, Rio Tashan and Alex Wann.

Paradise

Paradise | Mediahaven | Friday 18 October

Paradise enjoyed its third summer at Amnesia in 2024 - and it somehow managed to eclipse both 2022 and 2023 in terms of what it delivered. Most weeks were sold out, pointing to the party's everlasting appeal.

Such a successful season calls for an equally enormous ADE party to cap it all off. Jamie Jones has hand-picked Mediahaven as his choice of location - and it definitely fits the bill.

Darius Syrossian, Evie, Miane, Richy Ahmed, Rossi. and wAFF are just a handful of the Paradise family you can catch across this multi-room setting.

PIV

PIV | Warehouse Elementenstraat | Friday 18 October

Also on the Friday of ADE, Prunk and M-High's Amsterdam born and bred PIV takes over the authentic underground Warehouse Elementenstraat for a night of deep grooves and House beats. After a successful series of eight parties at Cova Santa this summer (its biggest Ibiza season to date), PIV is fast becoming a standout name in the underground House scene.

This ADE line-up is probably their biggest ever yet. Expect a mix of legends like Dennis Ferrer and Hot Since 82, established names Prospa and Fleur Shore alongside up-and-coming talents like Locklead, Marlie, Carista, Demi Riquísimo and HoneyLuv.

Ben Hemsley

Ben Hemsley | Docks 1 | Saturday 19 October

With each passing summer, Ben Hemsley's star burns even brighter. In 2024, he cemented his position as Ibiza Rocks' most popular party, while also making star-studied appearances at Amnesia. Riding that wave into ADE, this time Ben swaps poolside for a waterway of a different kind. The boat party sets sail on Amsterdam's famous canal from Docks 1 on 19 October.

Music On

Music On | Mediahaven | Saturday 19 October

One of the busiest nights on the island, Marco Carola's signature Music On flies from Pacha to Amsterdam, as he returns after a sold-out party last year. Renowned for marathon sets and underground energy, expect a whole lotta' rolling Tech House at Mediahaven as he reels in some killer names to join him.

The venue provides a perfect canvas for Carola's sound and his fire line-up of Ale De Tuglie, Blackchild, Chelina Manuhutu, Calvin Clarke, Da Vid, Franky Rizardo, Gordo, Hot Since 82, Ilario Alicante, Joey Daniel and Syreeta. Oft!

Metamorfosi

Metamorfosi | Gashouder | Saturday 19 October

Joseph Capriati registered a vintage summer at Amnesia in 2024. Metamorfosi's third year went above and beyond, captivating audiences. At ADE, the Italian stallion links up with the city's premier Techno promoter Awakenings to take over the cavernous Gashouder on 19 October.

Giuseppe invites fellow Amnesia legend Sven Väth and Dutchman Chris Stussy, with Matisa on warm-up duties. On scale alone, this is set to be the biggest Metamorfosi yet.

Paco Osuna presents Now Here

Paco Osuna presents Now Here | De Hallen Studios | Saturday 19 October

Now Here grew in stature again this summer. Not only did Paco Osuna continue his weekly Tuesday night slot in Hï Ibiza's Club Room, but he also took Now Here to Playa Soleil and staged two full-venue takeovers in mid-September.

With The Night League poised to open [UNVRS] in 2025, Now Here is well positioned in what is sure to be an eventful off-season merry-go-round of club movement. In the meantime, we can get down to Paco and friends in Amsterdam at De Hallen Studios on 19 October.

Check back on our online magazine next week to find further coverage of Ibiza's exploits in Amsterdam.
