As the summer sun fades away, Ibiza turns its attention to a party calendar date steeped in horror and fear. We speak, of course, of the annual Halloween celebrations on Ibiza on 31 October.
Far from going quiet after the closing parties earlier in October, Ibiza keeps the party going through the end of the month. This year once again plenty of venues get spooky for the occasion, throwing petrifying parties across the island.
Ibiza residents and visitors alike never shy away from dressing up, but this one sees everyone go all-in with ghastly costumes and ghoulish outfits. Halloween gives island-dwellers a chance to have that final freaky knees up before the off-season kicks in and we all go into hibernation until next spring.
Beware creatures of the night, you are in for a scare - and a lot of fun - at these hellish affairs. Dig out your scariest alter ego to attend one or more of these frightening festivities.
Not sure which one? Our 2018 guide below has everything you need to know to choose where to spend the most haunted night of the year.
