Surf Lounge Ibiza is the venue this Wednesday 24 August for an extra special way to celebrate the patron saint of San Antonio, San Bartomeu. Expect a day packed full of activities and music, free surfing and the option of trying a specially-created gourmet set menu from its new restaurant offering. Surf Lounge Ibiza is located right on the seafront promenade and makes for the perfect vantage point to catch the midnight fireworks display that culminates the day's festivities.
Throughout the day, this cool location is offering free surfing on its huge artificial wave machine, with a minimum drinks purchase. The first 80 to arrive from 12.30 to 2.30pm will get to surf for free. Later on, the weekly “Ladies Sunset”, where just the women get to surf for free from 7-9pm, will be running as usual – so there are plenty of opportunities to ride the waves for little outlay.
The venue is promising a spectacular signature dinner from its head chef for just €39 per person. Gourmet delights include three sharing entrées of tomato soup, octopus cocktail, vegetable gyoza and Majorcan sausage stuffed with quails eggs. This is followed by a main of your choice with the venue recommending its special slow cooked salmon with yucca chips - a hugely popular dish for Surf Lounge Ibiza fans. To finish there's Spanish dough balls with chocolate and lemon sorbet. If you are more of the hamburger persuasion, you'll be delighted to know that there's also a barbecue.

The town council is running a programme of events celebrating its saint, with the big day this Wednesday.
