Where and what?
Just along the coast from San Antonio lie the heavenly beaches of Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta. Cala Salada has already been bestowed with the title of being one of Europe's best beaches helping to make this area a hotspot for tourists and locals.
Why go?
Cala Salada main beach
Both beaches are blessed with picturesque views of the luscious hillsides and glimmering azure blue sea, making them the perfect escape. With two beaches on offer, everyone can have a crack at them. Choose from the family feel of Cala Salada or the more remote and intimate bay of Cala Saladeta.
Things to do
Over the rocks to Cala Saladeta
Cala Salada has a beach restaurant though Cala Saladeta has no amenities, so take a picnic and drinks, oh and a cool bag and indulge in the tranquil surroundings. Fishermen's huts, rocks and the dreamy views make for envious Instagram snaps and you must take a snorkel to make the most of the clear blue waters and see the marine life.
How to get there
During the daytime, access to the beaches in summer is via mini-bus only (start of June to end of September), though you can still drive there before 10:00 or after 18:00. Get the bus from 09:30 to 20:30 from the San Antonio bus station and the Can Coix Sports Centre. Another option is to hop on board a ferry service from San Antonio's port.
