KM5, the island elite's go-to for an evening of cocktails has hit a monumental milestone - it's 21st Anniversary. Notorious for its larger than life opening and closing season parties (this season's opening fiesta was a who's who of Ibiza) it's no surprise that the upmarket hotspot has decided to celebrate in style with a birthday bash of epic proportions. The date is set - Thursday 9th July - and you can expect KM5's usual fashionable crowd to be in attendance. Attracting the rich, famous and residents in the know, the iconic venue plays host to some of the most glamourous events on the island throughout the year, from cocktail parties to exclusive exhibitions, so it's only right that the honouring of its own coming of age should be a show-stopper.
Situated on the road from Ibiza Town to San Jose at km 5.6 (hence its name), KM5 is nestled into the countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of Ibiza Town. The luxurious lounge bar and restaurant was originally an old farmhouse and is loaded with rustic Ibincencan charm. White washed walls mixed with elaborate decoration all make for a charmingly eclectic yet glamourous scene. The perfect setting to sip sumptuous cocktails or enjoy intimate party vibes, it houses a collection of diversely designed indoor and outdoor bars. The exclusive fine dining restaurant (which you'll need to book in advance) features crafted chandeliers and serves a flavour-filled menu created by head chef Emiliano Savastan. In the lounge garden, adorned with palm and orange trees you'll find relaxed candle-lit seating areas and a traditionally styled bedouin tent to enjoy a laid back aperitif, while the club style area is put to good use throughout the summer months as the party factor kicks up a notch, hosting some of the most sought after soirees in Ibiza.
Looking back at 21 years of fun filled memories, good times and legendary shindigs, the much-loved residence aims to encapsulate its spirit into one night. The team is pulling out all the stops with the promise of champagne, canapés and a performance from live band, Hot Ice, all setting the scene for an unforgettable evening. Now, there's always a pleasing soundtrack behind any KM5 event, provided by their on-point residents and the rare guest headliner (John Morales, has a four date residency there this summer) and this party is no exception. Expect deep and tech sounds from resident DJs Iban Mendoza, Sergi Ribas and Jean Cedric, as the celebrations heat up. With plenty more surprises up their sleeve this is one party you don't want to miss.
The festivities kick off at 8, don't be late!
