Live art in Ibiza this evening

Exibizanismus reveal their new look Ibiza art gallery today with live painting from Jerom along with new works by Jull.

This evening, Friday 19th December from 6pm, Ibiza art gallery Exibizanismus will unveil its new look, created by the incredibly talented Jull using the surrealist technique of “Trompe-l'œil.”

I have to admit that I had no idea what this meant. A quick flick over to Wikipedia explains:

Trompe-l'œil (French for "deceive the eye") is an art technique that uses realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects exist in three dimensions.

Their current exhibition, The Real Thing has been so successful that the gallery has extended it until the middle of January. Tomorrow's event, sponsored by Payesa Ibiza and Feel Good art café, is not only ideal for those who have still not seen the work of these two acclaimed resident Ibiza artists, but also for those who have already seen the expo and are hungry for more!

Sure to be popular with budding artists looking for top pro tips, Jerom himself will present a live painting session at the event, demonstrating to the audience his unique abilities in both grafitti art and hyperrealism. For more info on the work of Jerom and Jull check out our previous article.

The gallery can be found at Via Punica, 57 (parallel to Avenida España) in Ibiza Town and this free event will run until 10pm.
