Everyone's a winner in Ibiza on the Degusta restaurant scheme. For the third year running a group of restaurants have got together to provide special gourmet meals for €35 a head, including wine.
We're all winners because we get the chance to sample some of the island's most modern and inventive cuisine at extremely reasonable prices, the restaurants get lots of new customers, AND because
it's a competition based on customers' comments there's tons of publicity, and a prize raffle for everyone who leaves a comment.
The restaurants participating in Degusta, which runs until next March, are Can Curreu, Ca Na Sofia, Ca's Mila,
Civet, El Brasero, Es Mirador, Es Ventall (photo above), El Hotel, La Vinoteca, Monsoon and Zebra.
There'll be a different Degusta menu for each month of the scheme in the restaurants with some fabulous dishes and a marvellous selection of wines from all over Spain. You can choose from a Rias
Baxias Albariño, Rueda, and Chardonnay from Navarra in the whites. Reds from Ibiza (Cova Santa), Ribera del Duero, Rioja and Bierzo-Leon make up the numbers with a rosé from Navarra.
If ever an excuse was needed to get out and eat, this is it. If you're in Ibiza why not give it a try, and if you can't take the one you love, take the wife instead!
