The 7th annual Ibiza wine festival, Viniterraneus, takes place next week when over 600 wines from Spain and the rest of the world are gathered together in Santa Gertrudis. The venue is the Can Bernat restaurant on the road from San Rafael and the organisers are, as usual, Ibiza's best wine merchants, Enotecum.
Taking place on the 12th April from 17.00 to 22.00, visitors (€10 in advance, €15 on the door) will be able to sample some of the vast range of wines on offer. For lovers of stonger tipples, there will be samples of premium gins and vodkas, together with premium tonics like Fever Tree available too – reflecting the current mode for the drinks in Spain's big cities where cool gin bars are springing up everywhere!
There's also a touch of the high Andes about this year's event, as one of the featured drinks is Peruvian Pisco, a grape brandy, which will make and ideal accompaniment to the displays of Peruvian dancing during the evening.
Oh, and before I forget, leave room after all that wine for a bit of food, which apparently they'll also have! Enjoy.
