The village of San Juan at last has a market for arts and crafts typical of the locality. It's an idea that has been kicking around for years and has finally come to fruition, starting today, as part of the local fiesta celebrations.
Every Friday from now until the end of September, there will be around 15 stalls in the main square of San Juan selling embroidery, paintings, jewellery, food and fresh products amongst other things. It will be held from 18.00 until 23.00 and tonight, to mark the opening there will be some special musical performances.
