It'll be red roses, books and dragons a-plenty in Ibiza over the next couple of weeks as we celebrate St. George's day on the island. Party central will of course be San Jorge (or Sant Jordi in Catalan) where a host of activities are taking place to celebrate the main man slaying the dragon.
We've selected the top events that will appeal to tourists on the island at this time which all take place in the town square unless otherwise stated
16/4 21.00 – Country Wine competition, Bar Bonsai
17/4 22.00 – Sant Jordi Dance – electronic music and DJs
18/4 20.30 – Sardine BBQ
18/4 21.00 – Rock & Roll marathon with live bands
23/4 11.00 – Antique cart procession, Mass and folk dancing
23/4 21.00 – Concert by the Blues Mafia and Vargas Blues Band
24/4 21.30 – Concert with Projecte Mut and Pota Lait
25/4 21.30 – dancing to the Tanit Orchestra
26/4 12.00 – Folk Dancing
The only downside to all the fun is that there may not be a fireworks display because of the continuing problems with transport to the island.
