Parking was never a major problem in the real medieval Ibiza. You just left your transport outside wherever you were and if anyone was blocked in they'd shout 'move your ass.'
Nowadays, with over 100,000 visitors expected at the Medieval Festival this weekend the council have introduced some extra special measures to make our lives easier.
There'll be 2300 extra parking spaces created on land just on the outskirts of the city. They are located at the Multicines and Can Misses swimming pool on the north west side of Ibiza and near the big Gesa power station on the north east.
For the duration of the festival there will be three new bus routes introduced which will shuttle passengers from the car parks and the Vara de Rey to Dalt Vila. They'll be entirely free and will run every 20 minutes with the two car park services continuing to run throughout the summer.
Even better, when the new bus station opens 'later this month' it will have another 700 underground spaces bringing the total of new parking slots up to 3000 for the coming season.
