After the fantastic event that was the We Love Space closing party, expectations were high for this end of season finale.
The line-up could only be described as sensational with dj´s including Felix Da Housecat, Green Velvet, Deep Dish, Steve Lawler, Fedde Le Grand, Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong and Danny Tenaglia.
Unfortunately, it´s impossible to mention them all here but you should get the drift of the quality on show.
Having spent some time at a rather quiet Bora Bora beforehand (it appears that everyone went straight to Space, not wanting to miss too much), we made our way to the club at 5pm.
Of course, we were expecting it to be busy. Well, to be honest we thought it would be rammed from the start - but we found it less busy than the Space opening party.
After taking a quick tour around the club (as quick as it could be when full !), and despite some great music being played by Jonathan Ulysses in the Sunset Terrace, we made our way to the car park arena which is always so special when open.
And once again, the party outside was terrific - with a great atmosphere and rocking tunes, provided by DJ Oliver initially.
However, despite a great set by Fedde Le Grand, the music never really took off like we were expecting and Space favourite Steve Lawler only really got the crowd moving in the last half hour. Ok, it was an incredible half an hour of music but maybe a little late coming.
Meanwhile, Felix Da Housecat was on fine form inside the Discoteca, but was slightly outshone by Green Velvet who followed him.
Green Velvet, surely the coolest DJ out there, played a dark deep set, nodding his head in time to show his appreciation to the crowd.
Elsewhere, Oakenfold and Tong were good but the set of the day inside the Terrace was by far provided by Danny Tenaglia.
Tenaglia was at his best as he closed out the inside Terrace, making the most of the party vibe and playing to a packed room - there was barely room to stand, yet along dance, but most people managed !
After spending a staggering 15 hours, bouncing from room to room and wearing thin our dancing shoes, we made our way home shortly after 5am...leaving the party in full swing.
The hours passed by and the people partied as hard as they could.
For many people it has been long summer, but everyone gave the best they could, knowing that it will be a few more months before they can do it again !
