When is a closing party not a closing party? When it’s in Ibiza of course!
The age-old tradition of pretending your penultimate gig is actually your last is continued by the hip German minimalists Monza. Last Thursday (September 22) was supposedly their final fling in 2005 but they’ve sneakily arranged another one for this Friday (September 30), up against the typically over-subscribed Pure Pacha closing party.

Heidi (above) from Phonica Records in London played a successful gig in July this year. Joining her will be Hoffer66, otherwise known as Dub mag editor Andreas Simon (right).
The Monza effect is spreading. Simon tells us a promoter at Mondo in Madrid has expressed an interest in bringing the concept to that fair city.
