The programme for the 2007 Ibiza Jazz Festival has recently been announced. It'll take place as usual up on the Santa Lucia Battlements overlooking the Sa Penya area of Ibiza town. With a change of organiser have come a change in date and booking policy. Gone are the big name headliners of recent years like Roy Hargrove, McCoy Tyner, MMW, Branford Marsalis and in come the following stars of the future:

Thursday 6th - Eivissa Jazz Ensemble, Juan Carlos Balcázar Voyage Quartet, Mr. Chacho.
Friday 7th – Jove Dixieland Band, Miguel Angel Chastang Quartet, Ibiza Jazz Experience 2007.
Saturday 8th – Magnus Mehl Quintet, Rebekka Bakken Quartet.
Sunday 9th – Roberto Gambarini Quartet, Gipsy Swing.
The venue really is a spectacular setting for a Jazzy night and with reasonably priced beer on tap at the bar there's no excuse for not getting along there to experience something just a little
different to the Ibiza norm.
