Hotel owners and traders in Ibiza are looking forward to a bumper Easter period which appears set to break all records for visitors. Recent years have seen a growth in the number of sporting
events on both land and sea which take place on the island. Our April climate is perfectly suited to all outdoor sports - warm and breezy weather is the order of the day – which keeps
yachtsmen, mountain bikers and other athletes happy and content without the danger of overheating.
Around 15000 people with some connection to the sports competitions are expected to visit as well as those who come to relax and watch the religious processions. This has kick-started the local
businesses connected with tourism and the predicition is that many hotels will be open by 25th of April, a week before the official opening of the season, to cater for visitors arriving in advance of
the May holiday weekend.
With another 15000 expected at this time the boys on the beaches who manage the sun lounger concessions have promised to get the beach brollies and loungers out a little earlier than normal so
everybody will have a place to stretch out by the sea.
Here's to the new season, let's have a good one.
