King Juan Carlos was involved in boating accident in Ibiza just last Friday. He was here competing in the Breitling Med Cup 2006 in his yacht the Bribón when another boat, the Santa Ana, collided with it.
Nobody was injured in the collision, but the king's yacht could not be repaired in time for him to take further part in the competition. Remaining philosophical, the king said it was just 'one of those things.'
The trophy was eventually won by the Mutua Madrileña and His Majesty, who had been watching the final stages from one of the organiser's boats, was on hand to congratulate the crew at the Marina Botafoch sports port.
