The season is upon us, the first package tourists have started to arrive, the roads are getting busier and parking is already difficult. So, just for the summer, Ibiza town council are going to provide nearly 400 new car parking spaces on the site of the recently demolished former bull ring.
The island has also received 47 new policemen, the majority of whom will form part of the special summer tourist police, who distributed all over the island, are there specially to help tourists with any problems in their own language.
As usual, the vast majority of our beaches will be staffed by members of the Red Cross, who do a great job helping people with minor cuts and bruises up to actually saving lives. This year more Red Cross members than ever before will patrol our beaches to ensure a safe year for all.
