The big influx of Spanish nationals to our hotels in August has highlighted some of the cultural differences between the Northern European and Mediterranean lifestyles.
With most hotels geared up to serving British and German clients who like to lunch around 1pm and dine about 7 pm there’s a culture shock awaiting the mainland Spanish who have lunch at three, and dinner at ten or later.
Fortunately the Spanish are partial to a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack which roughly coincides with hotel meal times.
