We've been a bit short on culture here in Ibiza for the last few hundred years. We've had the Romans, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Arabs, Jews and Christians who have all left a rich legacy of art, artefacts, and architecture. However we always felt that there was something missing and it wasn't until Tom Laitner arrived on the island that we realised what it was.
For Tom, from Santa Cruz, California, is 14 times World Frisbee Freestyle champion and believe it or not actually makes a living chucking a plastic disc about. He's been giving demonstrations in the Plaza del Parque and admits to some surprise that he hasn't seen ANYBODY else practising this noble art, which apparently was popular in 1970's America.
