The new soap opera 'Diez en Ibiza' which uses the island as the backdrop for the exploits and adventures of two dysfunctional families from Madrid is now in the can.
Filming has been completed and the series is ready to be aired from the end of the month when it will hit the nation's TV screens in a prime slot. The series will replace Spanish 'smile-on-a-stick' Ana Obregón's vehicle 'Ana y los 7' which, had it been shown in Britain, would have been regarded as years-ahead-of-its-time comedy. (Had it been shown in 1952 that is!)
We would of course like to wish good luck to all involved in Diez en Ibiza, whose showing will hopefully bring a few more tourists to the island. So break a leg everybody.
