Ibicon, the organisation which controls reservations for cruise ships at the new Botafoch dyke, has sent a complete dossier of information about Ibiza, its facilities, and World Heritage city status to Cunard Lines.
The aim is to attract Cunard's brand new liner The Queen Mary 2 to Ibiza on its maiden Mediterranean voyage in April. At 150,000 tons it's the biggest liner in the world and should it ever dock here, would dwarf everything else in the port, nevertheless the new dyke could easily accommodate the mammoth 345-metre vessel.
