Our local Policemen once led a charmed life. Some of them had up to 30 days a year off work due to 'illness' and curiously, many of these days were just before and after the officers' free days!
New police supremo, Leopold Llombart, was unconvinced that his officers were genuinely unfit for duty and immediately sent a memo saying that any absence had to be justified by a note from a doctor. Much to everyone's surprise sick days in the local police have been reduced to almost zero.
