The owner of Volkswagen Golf with Barcelona registration plates was so desperate to get his car back from the police compound that he stole it.
The vehicle had been placed there after committing 'a traffic infraction' and was awaiting the payment of the fine before its release. It appears that the owner crept into the compound in Ibiza town under cover of darkness, cut the wires and clamps which held it and boldly drove off!
