There's a price for everything, and those who want to stretch out on the beach within suntan sniffing distance of a host of Spanish football players, TV presenters, and soap stars, have to pay dearly down at celebrity strewn Salinas beach.
This lemming like rush to the sand has created such a demand for all the services that it is now one of the most expensive beaches in Spain with an average of €40 per person per day being spent on sunloungers, refreshments, and so on.
However this money being raked in by the concessionaires on the beaches is being put to good use. Just to prove that as well as pockets of gold they also have hearts of gold, they have purchased a boat, clearly marked with big green crosses, to patrol the shores of the beach every day, ensuring bathers' safety. Well done boys!
