Now that May has arrived the island authorities have once again enforced their ban on noisy construction work.
In a move designed to make holidays as pleasant as possible in the main season,
noisy construction work is not allowed in May to September, only minor works inside
almost completed buildings are possible.This also gives many construction workers
a chance to return to their other trade as waiters in summer.
