Every year Ibiza is flooded with workers from Spain and the rest of the world who come here to earn a crust in the tourist and construction industries. The statistics reveal that almost all of these migrant workers are men, and that of those with Spanish nationality, nearly half come from Andalucia, Spain's poorest region. Most of the foreigners are from Morocco and Ecuador, where the average wage is far less than can be earned doing menial labour in Ibiza.
