Well done San Antonio! For in a recent survey the bathing waters of its beaches have been proclaimed in an "excellent" sanitary state. The Council of Health of the Balearic Government conducted 14 tests along the length of the coast from Cala Salada to Es Pouet throughout the main tourist season and in all cases the results were equally good. This relieves worries by some parties that the repositioning of 35,000 cubic metres of sand last spring to increase the size of San Antonio's main Arenal beach would interfere with the delicate environmental balance.
