As a place where looking good counts and where the days go into the nights, Ibiza doesn't sleep......so how can you find footwear that are both stylish and sensible?
1. Sandals
Sandals are of course the footwear for summer and can make you feel as glam and dressed up as wearing your favourite pair of Kurt Keigers.
Do wear them to Mambo's or Savannahs to enjoy the sunset as they are delicate and feminine enough to go with almost any outfit, particularly this season's sheer maxi dress.
Don't wear them to Swedish House Mafia at Pacha, Circo Loco at DC10, Cream at Amnesia or any of the clubs that are likely to reach full capacity (so pretty much most on the party calendar) unless you don't mind the possibility of loosing a toe thanks to a phantom stomper.
2. Converse are a cool and trendy alternative that go with most summer outfits; they look great with a playsuit , vintage high waisted shorts and a bralet or even a summer dress and are the perfect option for an all day into the night rave. Ideal for a long Monday packed with Circo Loco and Cocoon, however wearing a light shade wouldn't be the most sensible option.
3. Brogues in the last year or so have become a popular, fashionable, and oldschool alternative to sandals, pumps or trainers. Suitable to wear on a long night out when dancing is set to be the theme, they are ideal for the Ibiza lifestyle and fit perfectly into the retro image many house music lovers indulge in.
4. Military Boots or Ankle boots are a perfect alternative to an open shoe such as sandals or flip flops and worn with a pair of socks. They look great with summer dresses, shorts or leggings and compliment a festival chic look. They serve well in all purposes and help you keep in the dancing spirit, and not worrying about the burning foot pain wedges or heels give you.
5. Flossys/Toms are the perfect Balearic footwear, Flossys are sold from 7.90 Euros and are available almost everywhere on the Island, they provide every clubber with a lightweight and comfortable shoe, similar to Toms and available in a range of colours and designs you can't go wrong with a pair of these plimsole like shoes. As they are a thinner shoe they are ideal for day time raves such as the Zoo Project as they keep your feet cool and their fruit scented sole keep your tootsies smelling fresh.
