First, press play above to set the mood and now let's try and get our heads around this genre-defying lucky dip of a party. Brought to you by the team behind Carl Cox's party, the broad brush approach has definitely been taken with one of the most eclectic set of listings you're ever likely to see and some unprecedented performances set to re-write the rule book as far as Ibiza parties go.
Let's start with the Live thing, which sees Leftfield on their comeback tour headline alongside Friendly Fires, Faithless, Booka Shade, Vitalic, Tinie Tempah, Kelis and quite fantastically, Salt 'n' Pepa. The Discoteca will be transformed each week to set the stage for each of the artists to perform their stuff. Expect fireworks!
Across the rest of the club, the high standard doesn't relent, guests range from; the ultra pop(ular) in Calvin Harris, Zone Lowe and Mark Ronson; the totally alternative in Skream & Benga, Chase & Status and Pendulum; the party starters in Danny Tenaglia, Mark Knight and Felix da Housecat; the outright techno in Adam Beyer, Len Faki and Marcel Dettmann; and the uncategorisables in Grandmaster Flash, Steve Aoki and Monza on the Sunset Terrace.
As well as Monza doing the early shift on the Sunset Terrace from 6pm, Mauro Picotto's Meganite host 3 specific parties after depature from Privilege and they are a feast of techno as you'd expect. Moreover, Pukka Up will be hosting a silent disco in El Salon, the first time it's been done in a club in Ibiza - though Bora Bora did once experiment I think.
We all know Thursdays aren't easy pickings in Ibiza, but if you're going to have a go, then coming up with something like this is just about on the money. Should be a blast!
