Ibiza Rocks is the only way to enjoy your indie rock & roll in Ibiza and over the years we´ve been introduced to some of the finest new talent, plus some of the biggest bands around.
Previously gigs could be enjoyed at Manumission or Bar M – plus a few other secret venues – but this year saw the launch of the Ibiza Rocks Hotel ... and a whole new chapter for this brave concept !
It´s a great example of how to combine music, fashion and the uber-coolness of Ibiza Rocks – and better yet, it´s all been done with great value for money in mind.
There is always something going on at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel, even when the big bands are not in town - with resident bands and dj´s playing every night, plus a very entertaining Comedy Night on Monday´s.
We´ve sat in on a couple of Comedy Nights – which are free for residents – and it´s a great way to warm up your evening.
But of course, essentially Ibiza Rocks is about the music. And so far this summer, we´ve seen some great live gigs from The Enemy, The Wombats and The Fratellis (below).
Perfomances so far have been divided between the hotel itself and other secret venues, which are reached by bus. This leaves us with a fully planned, yet almost spontanious, schedule which just adds to the magic of Ibiza Rocks.
This, and of course ... the great live music on stage !
And one look at the bands booked to appear over the coming weeks should provide us with plenty more hot and raw nights to enjoy ...
Tuesday 29 July sees an exciting Ibiza debut for Dizzee Rascal, who will be bringing his eclectic and exotic rapping to the Ibiza Rocks Hotel. And making a much antipated return to Ibiza Rocks on Tuesday 19 August, will be The Streets – who have been involved with the event since it´s conception.
Meanwhile, other bands to look forward to include the likes of The Zutons – one not to miss we say – plus Soulwax (2 Many Dj´s) and Pendulum.
So all in all, plenty of live music and entertainment to be found at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel !
