True to form, the Cream opening party on Thursday 12 June was something pretty special - not that we expected anything different of course.
With two big hitters like Sasha and Paul van Dyk in the main room, plus Annie Mac and Touche in the terrace, a night at Cream Ibiza always means making a tough choice on where you make yourself home.
However, being big fans of big room trance and quality house, we found ourselves moving between both rooms during the night.
In the main room, Sasha and Paul van Dyk were clearly loving the opening party atmosphere, as were most of the crowd.
Despite still being on top of their game, both of these dj´s are legends in the music scene and the heaving main room clearly liked what they were hearing.
Great music, terrific club and the amazing main room experience that you only get at Cream Ibiza.
Meanwhile, Annie Mac and Touche were tearing it up in the newly renovated and updated terraza which now features a new dj booth at the end of the room, opening up more dancing space on the floor, plus a super new soundsystem that has transformed the room into a quality dance arena.
Annie Mac played another decent set for Cream Ibiza but had the show stolen by a fabulous crowd-pleasing set from Jamie Gittins & Sean Hughes of Discobomb.
After smashing up the terrace at the Cream closing party last summer, Discobomb were back once more and we hope that this isn´t the last we see of these guys.
Refusing to stick to standard dj rules, these guys really know how to get the dancefloor pumping, including a wonderful moment where the entire terrace was on their knees to the sound of The Prodigy.
Cream is arguably the biggest night in Ibiza and based on how they´ve got things started off this summer, we should be in for some very special parties this year !
