Bushwacka! charity trek in Ibiza

The legendary DJ is scaling 250km in aid of homeless charities.

All credit to music legend, Bushwacka!, who's revealed that this month he'll be raising money for Crisis and Caritas, two homeless charities based in the UK and Ibiza respectively.

The Ibiza-based DJ plans to bring in the cash by undertaking a gruelling trip that will involve cycling, kayaking and hiking 250km across Ibiza, with any money raised being split between the two charities.

Setting off on 19th May, he'll have four days to cover the distance, during which time he'll also be camping or sleeping rough himself. Explaining why he's attempting the challenge, the DJ said:

“As many of you know I have a major problem with the homeless situation. I am a Londoner but now based in Ibiza. It especially upsets me in these places because there is so much money around, and so many properties and spaces that are vacant and can be used to provide shelter and warmth.

I want to do more to help - more than a few coins here and there. We are going to raise as much as we can to help the homeless and split the donations between Crisis in London and Caritas - the Spanish homeless charity in Ibiza.”

The fund is currently sat at almost €5,000, but to help him reach his final target of €25,000, head over to the fundraising page and donate here. All the best of luck from us here at Spotlight.
