To go alongside his Detroit Love parties at Space, Carl Craig is now throwing beach parties in Playa d'en Bossa, spreading the love further afield. No Name Ibiza, a humble beach shack developing quite a musical reputation this summer, will host the three dates in July and August, with attendance costing nothing.
For the opening of Detroit Love's beach-branch, Dubfire played a brilliant back-to-back with Carl Craig himself - and next week (21st July) look forward to C2 back-to-back with Matthew Dear. The music collections brought in the coming weeks are promised to be unlike anything else seen on the island.
Detroit Love is Craig's way of sharing his love for the city, and the sounds from his home that have, and continue to influence techno music. Performances incorporating 4-cd decks mixing, with live editing and sampling. The monthly event at Space running until September kicked off last month. Robert Hood, Mad Mike Banks, and Moritz von Oswald shall be at the next one on July 12th.
