Everyone should know that San Antonio is about to be injected with some much needed cool and credibility. But if you didn't, get on to this: London underground party, Créche, is locked into a season-long residency at newly named and refurbished club Gatecrasher, formerly known by its most recent name - Eden.
The club underwent an ownership change in 2013 and is now in the hands of the ever passionate Dutch - known to have a thing for partying - who have spent millions on the place to bring it bang up to date in terms of design, decoration, lighting and the all important sound system which - powered by VOID - is now one of the best on an island full of some of the most solid soundsystems in the world. Now, the club is run by legendary club group Gatecrasher and the good work continues!
Créche will run parties every Tuesday night at Gatecrasher Ibiza, based in San Antonio just by the egg roundabout, from Tuesday 10th June until 23rd September with residents Alexis Raphael and Cozzy D at the helm on the decks, with much respected promoters and island folk Neil Evans and Chris Bones ensuring everything goes perfectly.

Joining the two London based residents will be an impressive spread of artists, the likes of which San Antonio hasn't seen for quite some time. Deep house heads Breach and Ben Pearce, Hypercolour hot stuff Huxley, French techno and technology loving Agoria, disco man of the moment Tensnake, new school duo Gorgon City and Totally Extinct Enormous Dinosaurs plus a certain Chicago legend named DJ Sneak, Radio 1 hosts and Moda Black label bosses Jaymo & Andy George, Detroit badboys Jimmy Edgar and Shaun Reeves plus even more big names, such as Simon Baker, Waifs & Strays, No Artificial Colours, Geddes, Josh Butler and island rude boi Andy Baxter. More to be announced yet, with specific line-ups by date.
We're stoked to see big names like this playing the west side of the island, and see that Créche could be the catalyst to a turning point in San Antonio, boosting it as a clubbing destination to rival the Playa d'en Bossa juggernaut.
"We'd always thought that San An, even though it's not the coolest place on the island, does not provide a good night with good underground music for people. Why should the people staying there (which make up 50% of the clubbers on the island apparently) have to pay to travel to the other side of the island and then pay huge door entry prices? We are offering them the same huge DJs on an equally good sound system in an equally good venue, but without the extra effort and cost needed to get there." - Alexis Raphael
