After a little time out of spotlight with his label, the Black Flag Recordings label boss has made a welcome return with his first solo release release of the year. 'Any Which Way' evokes feelings and memeories of the motor city - Detroit - with deep, melodic techno sounds. Remixes come courtesy of Pullen's 'Dirty Mug' and Dub Mug' reworks, with Desolat's Martin Buttrich putting togethjer two remixes - 'Red Mix' and 'Green Mix'. The Red Mix sees Buttrich make use of the main synth line of the original, whilst the Green Mix changes the original into a moodier deep house track.
The 'Any Which Way' EP is relased on Monday 13th May.
“With ‘Any Which Way' I wanted to get back to moody but groovy techno, something that hits your emotions, but still packs a punch. There's so much music out at the moment, I really wanted to create something with a fresh edge to it, while still producing something that DJs and fans would connect with a modern take on Detroit. On the remix tip, I chose one of my favourite producers Martin Buttrich. Technically speaking, for me, he's one of the best and really understands the quality of melodies and soundscapes.” – Stacey Pullen
