Summer 2022 sees a new dawn breaking for Ibiza. The first full season in two years showcases the perfect opportunity to exhibit the music industry's hottest newcomers. Here's where you can witness some emerging talent taking to the dancefloors this opening weekend.
TSHA
IMS Grand Finale | Dalt Vila | Friday 29 April
London-based TSHA has bagged herself a golden ticket to Ibiza opening weekend, but that's no less than she deserves. Her 2022 debut is a solo set taking place at the once-a-year fiesta at Dalt Vila, IMS Grand Finale. She will be performing alongside Jamie Jones, The Blessed Madonna and many other established names.
One to watch, expect her career to reach new heights off the back of this mammoth booking.
Dunmore Brothers
Defected | Amnesia | Sunday 1 May
Sons of legendary Defected-founder Simon Dunmore, as you might've guessed from the name, Lucas and Louie have gone down the same career route as their Dad. We don't blame them. But don't think he would've given them an easy ride however. The Dunmore Brothers have proved their ability with catchy productions and adventurous sets.
Their undeniable talent combined with the weight the Dunmore name carries, means their appearance at Amnesia will be the first of many more.
Layla Benitez
Better Together daytime | Ushuaïa | Saturday 30 April
Exciting emergent and Space Miami resident Layla Benitez is amongst one of the many names to play at Better Together at Ushuaïa. The talented newbie will be joined by a gang of heavyweights including Adam Beyer, Kölsch, Stephen Bodzin and The Martinez Brothers - names that are too good to be in one single line-up together... hence why it takes place at two venues.

Dan Shake
Classic Music Co. | Octan Ibiza | Saturday 30 April
Dan Shake is a DJ with a great story to tell and a very full touring schedule to back it up. Inspired by his idol Moodymann, Shake's career has snowballed in recent years. Having propelled his way to the top of the industry, he shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
Signed to Defected's sub-label Classic Music Co. through his quality productions, Shake is a man in high demand this year. That makes him the perfect candidate to headline the label's Ibiza party this Saturday, where he'll be accompanied by Derrick Carter and Luke Solomon.
Sef Kombo & Kitty Amor
Defected opening party | Eden | Friday 29 April
Did we say five? What the hell, have a sixth as well. Musical partners Sef Kombo and Kitty Amor are best known for their influence and representation of emerging genre Afro-House. With both a Mixmag cover and Boiler Room set under their belts, we're looking forward to hearing their deep tracks gracing Defected on Friday night. Here's to more Ibiza appearances to come.

Darius Syrossian
Defected opening party | Eden | Friday 29 April
Darius Syrossian's love affair with Ibiza continues in 2022. Such is the Leeds DJ's affinity for the island, he even tied the knot here. This summer he has plenty of dates for Defected (5, including Friday's opening party!), a couple at Paradise and a return to that Basement in Octan, as well as appearances at DC10.
Darius loves Ibiza crowds and vice-versa. If you've yet to discover why, here's your ideal chance.
Patrick Topping
IMS Grand Finale | Dalt Vila | Friday 29 April
Trick boss Patrick Topping embarks on an exciting 2022 Ibiza season as he launches his own residency at underground mecca DC10. Before all that, you get a sneak preview at IMS Grand Finale. One of the most unique and talked about parties of the year takes place in Dalt Vila. Patrick also fulfils a date for long-affiliated party Paradise in September.
Not often you get to dance in the Mediterranean sun in a medieval castle. Don't pass the chance.
Honey Dijon
Defected Festival | Dalt Vila | Saturday 30 April
Force of nature Honey F'N Dijon is one of many House music legends playing the second day at Dalt Vila. She lines-up alongside Louie Vega, Bob Sinclar, Danny Tenaglia and Simon Dunmore for Defected's takeover. We're confident in saying, we're sure to hear exclusive music from her forthcoming artist album, Black Girl Magic.
After the sun has gone down, why not continue the party at Octan with Classic Music Co. Combo tickets available.
Loco Dice
All Night Long | Pacha | Sunday 1 May
Veritable DJ legend Loco Dice has been one of Ibiza's biggest draws. As part of Pacha's season of warm-up parties, the reins are handed to the Desolat label boss for the entire duration. Playing open to close guarantees we get the full Loco Dice experience. With The Grand Opening with Solomun already sold out, this is perfect alternative to get your cherries fix.
Loco Dice has also been confirmed to playing for Music On at Pacha later in 2022.
Luciano
Pyramid pre-season opening | Amnesia | Friday 29 April
What more can be said about Lucien Luciano, that we haven't said countless times already? Few DJs have commanded the same stature he has held on Ibiza in the last decade. He's held residences in just about every club, but there's just something about Amnesia's Terrace that is particularly suited to his loopy, Latin-rhythmed style of play. He's back at Pyramid this week.
Whoever you see this opening weekend, we're sure you'll experience the best opening weekend in living memory.
