Trance and house fans rejoice. The king of trance is back, and he's bringing along some rocking house. After making an indelible impression in 2017, Armin van Buuren returns to Hï for 2018.
Once again taking over the Theatre this time on Wednesday nights, Armin gets things underway on 20 June all the way until 19 September. The Grammy-nominated artist will be bringing his high octane sets within the spectacular production of the glitzy super-club.
Hardcore Armin fans take note here. One date in particular that Armin's legion of fans should bookmark is 1 August, when the Dutch megastar plays a solo set all night long.
Knowing how AvB can play across the spectrum, it will be quite a spectacle to see him have free-reign from open to close. How's that for a midsummer treat?
Our host is absent only once during the run on 15 August. We shall be in great hands, though. Sensationally, Anjunabeats heroes Above & Beyond will fill in his boots. The certified trance legends will conduct a full takeover of the Theatre in what's sure to be a golden ticket.
Across the residency, we also have plenty of appearances from trance heavyweights Markus Schulz, Super8 & Tab, Cosmic Gate, Aly & Fila and Andrew Rayel plus progressive master Ilan Bluestone.
Fledgeling stars MaRLo, Ben Nicky and Vini Vici continue the high pedigree of guests. And still more space for Dr Alex Paterson from The Orb, David Gravell, Seven Lions, Estiva, Ruben de Ronde and Spencer Brown.
In the Club Room, weekly residents house innovators Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano provide a different sound. The Dutch duo have lived a lifetime in house music. With their Sexy by Nature brand, they have carved out a reputation.
The Club hosts preside over an impeccably honed line up. Two fellow countrymen, big room poster boy Fedde Le Grand and the ever-versatile Sander van Doorn are just two of the biggest guests.
Aussie Dirty South and Spinnin records regulars Ferreck Dawn and EDX follow in a similar vein, with that euphoric, drop-tastic brand of EDM.
Hefty house thoroughbreds Roger Sanchez and Mark Knight are two more scene giants. Both men have held various residencies in Ibiza, and their involvement should be considered as a massive coup.
They are complemented by the likes of Chus & Ceballos and Illyus & Barrientos, two duos flying the flag for classic house music.
We also have a strong contingent of that current steel drum and sax-heavy sound some people refer to as tropical house. Artists such as Lost Frequencies, Sam Feldt and Kungs will be keeping things sounding fresh.
Other artists involved include Brian Cross, Bruno Martini, Double Pleasure, Kristen Knight, Novak and Thomas Newson.
One thing is certain, across both rooms this incredibly diverse spread of DJs will appeal to different audiences. This makes Wednesdays at Hï one of the most well-rounded nights Ibiza has to offer.
