When images of DC10's infamous blowouts slam into focus, it's very likely that The Martinez Brothers and Seth Troxler are in there somewhere. Separately, these guys are key players in drawing swarms of heady clubbers to DC10's floors, and when brought in for a back to back spin-off, the word ‘dynamite' surfaces.
If you're a lover of the sibling duo and Troxler's collaborations, then go grab your calendar and stick a pin in Friday 18 August. On that date, they'll be landing on the White Isle for a special one-off showcase of their label, Tuskegee.
In conjunction with The Martinez Brothers' Cuttin' Headz label, it's set to feature top-notch sets from the trio, plus appearances from Jerome Sydenham, the founder of longstanding dance label Ibadan Records; New York-based weapon Sita Abellan; Circoloco regular Bas Ibellini; revered New York producer and engineer Phil Moffa; prolific British producer Matt Tolfrey; and Bronx-born DJ and producer Jesse Calosso.
There's nothing quite like a one-off slammer having you sit up and take notice. This little beauty undoubtedly falls in the unmissable category, and should you need a point of reference for what to expect, check out the recently recorded mix below. Tickets go on sale Thursday 6 July.
