Ibiza continues to sparkle each year due to its ability to mesmerise its inhabitants and visitors. Not only do the island's well-established parties annually entice revellers but also its fresh and new conceptual parties.
Although authentic long-running events are enough to blow the island ahead of many other global party locations, partygoers still find themselves filling with excitement as they prowl through the shiny new fiestas landing on the party calendar.
Here's a midseason reminder of a handful of new ventures on the island.
Benimussa Park – Zoo Evolution
Set in a reimagined zoo once home to big cats and seals, The Zoo Project unleashes a new concept this season: Zoo Evolution. The interactive party aims to provide a completely hedonistic experience, where everybody is welcome to release and enjoy his or her inner animal.
The new party takes place on Tuesday afternoons and carries on into the night. Pioneering industry-leaders take a place behind the decks on imaginatively decorated stages, such as the Tree House, Seal Pit and Living Room, to bring some of the best house and techno out there.
For the more spiritually inclined or curious, the Mandala Garden brings to life a different concept with ethnic and percussive music, ecstatic dance, rituals and ceremonies plus much more, a mind/body/spirit experience unlike any other on the island. The next party is on 12 September. If you cannot wait that long, check out the Zoo Project on Saturdays.
HEART – Bedouin Presents Saga
If you haven't been to HEART, it must be somewhere near the top of your list of things to do. As one of the most visually immersive clubs in Ibiza, it gives partygoers the chance to revel fully on a different kind of dancefloor.
Every Sunday the imaginative nightclub opens its doors to Bedouin Presents Saga. While this season marks Bedouin's third consecutive year on the island, it is the first year that the American duo have their own party at the dynamically created HEART.
The concept behind Saga is to immerse partiers into a land of storytelling where they create their own look in order to allow the story to unfold. The duo Bedouin, known as connoisseurs in the world of underground electronic music, will be accompanied by &ME, Guy Gerber, DJ Koze and the enchanting Damian Lazarus, just to name a few.
Hï Ibiza – Eric Prydz
Pioneer of electronic dance music and well-established in the realm of creating cohesive, outstanding production, icon Eric Prydz returns to the island for his very own special residency. Responsible for some of the most important progressive house tracks of the decade, the Swedish icon habituates every Tuesday in the newly branded club Hï Ibiza.
Accompanying him throughout the season will be electro house DJ and producer Deadmau5, the infamous Pete Tong, house and techno guru David Squillace, as well as Nick Curly and Andrea Oliva.
Ibiza Rocks Hotel - Cuckoo Land
Sweeping in full force this summer is Do Not Sleep's new Ibiza residency Cuckoo Land. Habituating at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel, the new party will be sure to liven up your Sunday. With their promotional insignia for season titling, ‘The Fantastical State Of Dreamers', the party is enough to help you lose your mind in a land of house music.
The event is hosted by Do Not Sleep / Electric Ibiza. Resident DJs are Latman and Max Chapman, playing alongside artists such as Waze & Odyssey, Dutch favourite Edu Imbernon, British artist Josh Butler and UK DJ and producer Huxley.
Pacha - Labyrinth
A party called Labyrinth already sounds interesting, and that's exactly what it is. A realm appears inside the walls of Pacha to allow partygoers to immerse themselves into an evening where they are able to get lost in the music. Filled with immersive décor creating a hedonistic space, you will be sure to easily transcend into a jungle realm.
The man behind the idea is British DJ and producer Hot Since 82. After his most recent label success, the new concept has been the talk of the town. Accompanying him are the likes of the legendary Sasha, house master Derrick Carter, underground star Cassy, Watergate resident Matthias Mayer and Canadian techno house DJ and producer Heidi, along with many more pioneering acts.
Privilege - Resistance
House and techno franchise Resistance will make their debut on the White Isle at the globally known club Privilege, for eight weeks starting Tuesday 25 July. With events across five different continents, Resistance lands on Ibiza blessed with one of the most iconic labels and host to the world's most respected names within the underground electronic music world.
Residents include Sasha and John Digweed, a pretty monumental booking considering it will be the first time the duo have appeared together since 2009. Accompanying them will be Stephen Bodzin (live), Dubfire, Eats Everything, Guy Gerber, Matador, Paco Osuna, Pig & Dan, plus many more.
Ushuaïa – Garden Of Madness
Known for their innate ability to transform spaces into illustrious wonderlands, the globally renowned festival brand Tomorrowland presents Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike takes on the White Isle with the Garden Of Madness. Introducing an extraordinary kind of party to the glamorous Ushuaïa, they play host to a range of electronic dance and electro house DJs from across the globe.
