August has arrived as we burn through the season like wildfire. This month sees a landslide of one-off spine-tingling events. They are ready and waiting to be taken over by eager ravers like you or anyone who wants to experience the island's hottest parties.
Take a look at what Pete Tong is bringing to the island for an out of this world experience. Also, the end of this month marks the beginning of some extra special closing parties that we're reluctant to say goodbye to.
August is all set to be a busy month, so buckle up and enjoy the ride.
Afterlife / Privilege / Thursday 3 August
Afterlife has been blowing up this season. Line-ups each week have been melting the brains of all clubbers hooked on their techno-high. For this specific Thursday, we not only have Tale Of Us, the creators of this fiesta, but also Jamie Jones. Note this one down in the diary. You won't be catching this funky house DJ play another party at Privilege, an interesting setting for the head honcho of Paradise. We can't wait to see how he smashes it.
Pete Tong Ibiza Classics / Destino / Saturday 5 August
Something we did not see coming, we recently caught wind that Pete Tong is bringing the Heritage Orchestra to the White Isle to play Ibiza Classics. This performance has been taking the UK by storm and playing worldwide in the greatest arenas. Saturday will see this magnificent show play the wonderful open-air venue Destino. If you're lucky enough to get a ticket, bask in this show's brilliance.
WooMooN / Cova Santa / Sunday 6 August
The mystical event WooMooN is set in the magical Cova Santa, which is actually built around an ancient cave. This fiesta holds that special vibe for which Ibiza is known. Become a carefree hippy flower child for the evening, eat from the organic açai bowl stall or grab a Moonjito. Here you will witness some abstract live art throughout the night. It will have your mind wandering.
With nomadic underground music from an array of internationally celebrated artists, this Sunday also has a special guest: Luciano with a back to the roots set, as well as Atish, German Brigante, rampue and others. See you under the stars.
Cocoon / Amnesia / Monday 7 August
Techno central Cocoon is one of the island's leading weekly techno events, but this coming Monday is certain to blow your socks off. Amnesia is known on the island for hosting some of the best parties that Ibiza has ever seen. And we agree. This particular Cocoon is stacking up a healthy set list of names. These include the legends Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin and Adam Beyer, as well as Ilario Alicante.
Anytime Ibiza sees Richie play with Sven, the island celebrates, remembering his great event Enter held at the late Space Ibiza. This one is guaranteed to be a night of deep haunting techno for the true raver in you.
Loco Dice's B-Day HYTE / Amnesia / Wednesday 9 August
If you haven't heard already, brace yourself. As a special treat for Loco Dice's birthday HYTE have secured a gift for all of us: Carl Cox. Oh yes, oh yes. Our main man is headlining this Wednesday alongside Loco Dice. After the insane reaction to his own events held last month, anytime Coxy is playing, you know that Ibiza will gladly welcome him with open arms.
Get excited for Amnesia to also hold beats from Cuartero and Dewalta playing next door in the main room. This is the only officially confirmed date to see Coxy play on Ibiza this month. Get in.
Mosaic by Maceo / Pacha / Tuesday 15 August
Another standout techno night comes out of Pacha. Created by Maceo Plex last year, Mosaic will see some A+ acts spin their tracks this Tuesday. For the first time this season Rødhåd will be stepping in to show Ibiza how it's done. One of only three events he will be playing this season, this night is a great opportunity to catch him.
Alongside Rødhåd, Fango and Stephan Barnem will spice the night up even further. Mosaic will run for seven more weeks with a selection of techno high-flyers. Of course, Maceo himself will be hitting the decks for another unmissable night.
Wax Da Jam / Las Dalias / Thursday 17 August
Want something a little more groovy? How about some funk and hip hop at Wax Da Jam. Set at Las Dalias, this fiesta is known for its soulful atmosphere, including great music, delicious food and pop up stalls. Kicking off at 21:00, you have the entire night to explore the treasures Wax Da Jam holds.
On Thursday 17 August you can get down and funky for an evening of bohemian fantasy. Kenny Dope of Masters at Work will be bringing hip hop and funk jam into the mix, together with Negghead and Harley Maxwell. French DJ and producer Guts will be playing live hip hop and soul band.
This market style venue is perfect if you want something down the road less raved on.
elrow pool party / Ibiza Rocks Hotel / Tuesday 8 & 22 August
The party that has taken the world by storm is going to Ibiza Rocks Hotel. For two Tuesdays only you will have the chance to see the eccentric party elrow in a unique way. Expect the most incredible pool inflatables, confetti cannons, elaborate props, crazy dancers and much much more.
Moving from inside the walls of Amnesia, these two events will give you the chance to experience the most outlandish pool party ever. With a great tech house soundtrack, you'll be dancing all day and into the night.
Eric Prydz Closing Party / Hï Ibiza / Tuesday 22 August
His first Ibiza residency is coming to an end. Two newbies Eric Prydz and Hï Ibiza will showcase what they have to offer for an ultimate closing party. For the final Tuesday of the season, you will see one of the best line-ups they've put on to date. Just like we've seen throughout the entire season, this will be one of the most sought-after events.
Get ready for deadmau5 and Cristoph to join Eric in the Theatre and add on to the excitement, along with Andrea Oliva, Nick Curly and Gianni Callipari in the Club.
You could also kill two birds with one stone and tie in the Float Your Boat Hï boat party, which includes this event in its combo package.
Garden Of Madness Closing Party / Ushuaïa / Tuesday 29 August
The time has come for Tomorrowland presents Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike to say goodbye to their collaboration for an unforgettable summer. On the final Tuesday of this month at Ushuaïa, the finale will be celebrated with a selection of A-list DJs such as Steve Aoki, MATTN, Jose Maria Ramon and more to be announced.
This fiesta has created a total fantasy world throughout every show this season, and nothing but utopia should be expected for the closing. For its first ever season on the island they have definitely held a spectacular run of shows which will go down in Ibiza history.
Ibiza has something for everyone this month. While the island is never happy to see some of the season's favourite nights come to an end, the summer is only half way through. If you're on the island this month, you'd regret not adding one of these special events to your holiday to-dos.
