Things to do this month in Ibiza - July 2016

Our choice picks.

The month of July is one of the busiest months of the summer season. Our monthly guide should have something for everyone of all ages and tastes from art to full on parties. Remember to check out our magazine for the latest news and reviews of what's happening on the White Isle too. Here's to a fabulous month!

Bloop

With the idea that art is for everybody, the Bloop Art Festival returns for 2016 from 16 July to 16 August. In and around San Antonio, the month-long event has everything from street art to fine art, experimental film and children's workshops. Add sunset music sessions, interactive installations and photography and you have a truly creative and avant garde collection of art, all absolutely free. The giant painted murals in San An are thanks to Bloop but to see more, check out their events and see what suits you.

Wax da Jam

One of the island's most eclectic parties - musically and visually - Wax da Jam attracts people to Las Dalias in San Carlos from all over the island. Make your way to the next event on Thursday 14 July and you'll be treated to a performance from internationally acclaimed beatboxer, Shlomo, who'll be performing al fresco in the spectacular garden. Post midnight the action moves indoors, where Nightmares On Wax and Mr Defected himself, Simon Dunmore, will take you through to the small hours.

Cinerama Dorado

Outside cinema in Ibiza during the summer is becoming a thing. Cinema Dorado brings you the spirit of a drive in movie at Santos in Playa d'en Bossa once a month on Sundays until September. Enjoy a film on the terrace next to the palm-lined beach with terrific views of Ibiza's old town. 10 July sees Tarantino breakthrough movie and cinema classis Pulp Fiction. Entry is €20 and includes a hot dog and a gin and tonic.

Space's 27th birthday

This annual event will be the last of its kind since at the end of summer 2016, Space will close its iconic doors for the final time. As a result, 24 July should be marked in your diary in big red pen as a once in a lifetime experience you cannot miss. We're still waiting on all the finer details, but you can expect a line-up of the very best DJs and some of the most enthralling party vibes you're ever likely to experience on a dance floor. If you want to be part of history - go, dance and pay your respects to founder Pepe Roselló and this world-beating club.

Nikki Beach White Party

As it says on the label, this is an event where you have to wear white, so pack accordingly. Here, you can sample the life of a millionaire, sweep past the posh cars and party through the day from 3pm. Nikki Beach will be decked with flowers and decorations with musicians of many varieties all ready to make this event one to remember. Here you can be one of the beautiful people and enjoy the style and extravagance of this much loved annual event. If you are around on 22 July, get this in your calendar.

San Cristobal celebrations in Es Cana

Fiestas are always a great distraction and if you are staying in and around Es Cana, you'll have a wealth of things to do. The main event is on 10 July, the day of this areas' patron saint San Cristobal. There's music with a band parade, horse drawn carriages, a paella competition and fireworks to finish off the day at around midnight. On the 9th there's a street party at Punta Arabi with music and dance with fire. Step into a slice of authentic Ibiza life.
