Luciano has announced plans for him to return to his roots on the island after years of seemingly becoming disillusioned with the direction Ibiza has taken itself in. As Luciano and his band of Vagabundos took a tour of the islands venues, with stays at Ushuaïa, Pacha and Booom over the years, it will be great to see the Swiss-Chilean maestro back where he belongs - Cocoon, Amnesia, Mondays.
In his ongoing quest to reunite different factions of the DJ community, Luciano will be playing 8 dates at Cocoon Mondays over the 2014 season - Cocoon's 15th year on the island. It is well documented that he has a desire for linkups across genre's and musical boundaries with his collaborations with Lenny Kravitz at 2012s Ibiza 123 Festival and Carl Craig for example.
The dates are the 9th and 23rd June, 7th July, 4th, 11th and 25th August then the 14th and 22nd September - with six of those dates hosting the terrace, and the other two hosting the main room.
In a further development for Luciano - separate from his Cocoon reunification - he has announced he will hold six special Wednesday parties at the very cool Cova Santa venue in the mountains of San José. This is a great outdoor venue with fantastic views of the island and beyond will host his Luciano & Friends parties that were held at Ushuaïa previously. The parties start at 3pm in the afternoon, with things being taken into the club space from midnight until 6am.
So, Luciano is back... not that he ever really left, but for sure we can all look forward to seeing the real version we all love again this season.
